Handling and Application Fees

Our service fee for assisting with a Saint Kitts and Nevis passport renewal or replacement application is USD1,680 under the standard process and includes the applicable ordinary passport government processing fee. Where the National Biometric Enrolment and Passport Modernisation Programme applies, the separate programme fees set by the relevant authorities will be added. Specifically, our services include:

(1)         Providing continuing advice on the renewal, replacement and, where applicable, biometric upgrade process;

(2)         Assistance with the preparation of the required supporting documents for the applicant(s);

(3)         Preparation of application form(s), covering letter(s) and authorisation letter(s), where applicable;

(4)         Preparation and submission of the document package to the relevant Passport Office, embassy, consulate, or High Commission via a designated SKN attorney;

(5)         Liaison with the relevant authorities, authorised parties or overseas mission regarding the application;

(6)         Reporting the application status to the principal applicant; and

(7)         Forwarding the passport to the applicant’s designated mailing address.

Note:

i. The fees stated are exclusive of courier charges, document translation fees, notarization or certification fees, passport photographs, and any other third-party disbursements, if any.

ii. An additional fee of USD500 will be charged for an expedited processing service, which includes the applicable expedited passport government processing fee. Expedited processing typically reduces the government processing time from 15 to 30 days to 3 to 14 days, but the final processing time cannot be guaranteed as the relevant authorities have absolute discretion over the processing time.

iii. For reference only and subject to change by the government of Saint Kitts and Nevis, the National Biometric Enrolment and Passport Modernisation Programme launched in April 2026 currently states all-inclusive programme fees of USD2,500 for the first adult aged 16 and above, USD2,000 for the second adult in the same family, and USD1,300 for each child under 16. For adults who have already completed biometric enrolment, no separate biometric fee is stated to apply at renewal beyond the standard passport processing fee.

Payment Terms and Method

We currently only accept checks, cash or TT, credit cards and payment through PayPal. If the invoice is settled via PayPal, an extra 5% service fee will be charged.

If a Taiwan uniform invoice or any other tax invoice is required, business tax at 5% or the applicable tax rate on the invoiced amount will be charged and collected.

Eligibility Criteria

Saint Kitts and Nevis passport renewal or replacement is generally available to applicants who are already citizens of Saint Kitts and Nevis. This includes persons who obtained citizenship by:

• birth,
• descent,
• marriage,
• registration,
• naturalisation, or
• through the Citizenship by Investment (CBI) Programme.

A renewal or replacement application may be appropriate where the passpor

• has expired or is nearing expiry,
• has been lost, stolen or damaged (LSD),
• contains outdated particulars, or
• otherwise requires replacement.

Common replacement scenarios include the following:

• The passport has been damaged, stolen, lost or destroyed.
• The particulars on the passport are no longer up to date, for example due to a change of name or other personal details.
• The passport has no remaining pages due to excessive visa stamps or otherwise requires replacement.

For Citizenship by Investment citizens, the recently launched biometric enrolment and passport modernisation programme may also need to be considered, depending on the applicant’s current passport status and whether biometric enrolment has already been completed.

Notes:

i.  Failure to renew on time may result in travel delays or legal inconveniences. All citizens are encouraged to monitor passport validity and renew promptly.

ii.  Starting your renewal early ensures you avoid emergency processing fees and last-minute delays, especially for CBI holders frequently traveling for business or personal reasons.

Documentary Evidence and Information Requirements

(1)       Complete Passport Application form;

(2)       Current or expired Saint Kitts and Nevis passport, where applicable;

(3)       Two recent passport photographs (meeting the official specifications);

(4)       Birth certificate of applicant(s);

(5)       SKN Certificate of Citizenship, if applicable;

(6)       SKN Certificate of registration, if applicable;

(7)       Identity card of applicant(s);

(8)       Parents’ identification documents, where applicable for minor applicants;

(9)       Marriage certificate, decree absolute, marital status updates, where applicable;

(10)     Evidence supporting a name change, where applicable;

(11)     Police report and affidavit, if the passport has been lost or stolen;

(12)     Affidavit, if the passport has been damaged;

(13)     Any further documents specifically requested by the relevant authority or overseas mission; and

(14)     Payment for fees.

Application Steps and Estimated Timeline

To ensure a smooth renewal or replacement process, applicants are strongly advised to begin preparations well in advance. If you have international travel planned within the next year, or you experience a change in personal details (name, marital status, or appearance) it is highly recommended to begin the renewal process at least 6 months prior to passport expiry.

Actual processing times vary depending on the completeness of the application, the place of filing, the applicable passport category, whether any biometric modernisation steps are required, and the workload of the relevant authorities.

The standard processing time (incl. shipping) for a SKN passport renewal or replacement application is 8 to 16 weeks. The expedited processing time (incl. shipping) is 4 to 8 weeks. Expedited processing typically reduces the internal government processing time (upon receipt of a complete application package) from 15 to 30 days to 3 to 14 days. However, the final processing time cannot be guaranteed as the relevant authorities have absolute discretion over the processing time.
